Non-Verbal Communication Tips from Jennifer Angel for when you next meet someone for the first time, or even the second, third or fourth, as it does take a few meetings for us to build an opinion of what that person is like. How they walk : Do they look confident, easy going, tentative, thoughtful and perhaps shy? Do they have their head down or are they looking straight ahead. Someone's walk and stance says a lot about how self-assured they are as a person and how comfortable they feel in that particular setting. Smile: It has been said that how we feel on the inside and the type of person we are shows on our face. Some people are naturally smiley people while others have a gruff exterior. Those who smile are considered more approachable than those who do not smile. It can be an indication of how friendly they are. If they are blushing they could be shy or embarrassed.
